WANDA- boardmeeting
The board met 28 May 2004 in Kusadsi in conjunction with the 7th International Congress of MSM.
The constitution of WANDA was amended, the website established and representation in other international associations, societies and alliances increased.
This improved visibility and transparency and gave structure to voicing the interests regarding NMD on global platforms such as the Global Life Sciences Forum Biovision, the International Genetic Alliance, International Federation of Human Genetic Societies, World Alliance Organizations for Treatment and Prevention of Genetic and Congenital Conditions, IC- NMD.
Various new associations catering for neuromuscular diseases were welcomed.
The continental developments were discussed showing a great variety in priorities, activities and development.
WANDA is preparing for the 5th Assembly in Istanbul in the context of the IC-NMD.
